Caring for Your Eyes with Diabetes Using coMra Therapy

What You Need to Know
coMra therapy is a safe, non-invasive treatment used to support eye health in people with diabetes. It does not cut, burn, or heat. Instead, it uses low-intensity light, sound waves (ultrasound), and magnetic stimulation that work together to support blood flow, cellular repair, and the health of the retina and optic nerve.

Why We Use It Here

  • Helps improve circulation in the small vessels that nourish the eye.
  • Supports retinal repair in areas affected by reduced blood flow (ischemia).
  • May help reduce stress on the eye and preserve vision over time.

What to Expect
You will not feel pain, heat, or pressure. During the session, you may notice a gentle blinking light through your eyelids — this is normal. Treatments are quiet, comfortable, and completed in just a few minutes over your closed eyes.

Tailoring & Safety
Your doctor will adjust the treatment protocol to match your needs. In earlier stages of diabetic eye disease, the focus may be on protecting circulation and preventing progression. In more advanced cases, treatment may help ease strain, stabilize function, and support remaining vision.

Your Role

  • Attend your sessions as advised.
  • Continue managing your diabetes as instructed — coMra therapy works best when paired with good blood sugar control.
  • Share any changes you notice in your vision or comfort.
  • Ask questions—we want you and your family to feel confident in the care you receive.
